Aim of the training

The aim of the training is to give the participant the skills to apply Claude in their daily work, and to design, build and deploy a working AI solution based on their own tasks.

Learning outcomes

On completing the training, the participant:

  • configures Claude for their own work role, writes clear prompts and solves their everyday work tasks with Claude, judging when to trust the model's answer and when to verify it;
  • builds a shareable Skill to automate a recurring work task and describes the conditions for using it safely;
  • applies Claude within Microsoft 365, classifies the data used in their work and drafts the organisation's AI usage rules, taking account of the principles of the EU AI Act;
  • maps a business problem in their own field, designs a user-centred solution for it and creates a visual prototype;
  • develops the prototype into a solution working with real data, configures access rights and produces documentation for the solution;
  • presents the completed solution and draws up a deployment plan for it together with metrics for assessing results.

Conditions for commencing studies

No prior programming experience is required. Participants are expected to have everyday computer skills and their own laptop. The programme assumes the participant has one real task or process from their own work available during the training, on which to build a solution.

Volume and organisation of studies

The total volume of study is 50 academic hours, of which 37 academic hours are contact learning and 13 academic hours are independent work. One academic hour is 45 minutes.

Studies take place over six training days. In modules 1–5 contact learning runs from 9.00 to 13.30 (6 academic hours per day) and in module 6 from 9.00 to 15.00 (7 academic hours). Each module includes independent work. The training runs for six weeks.

Content of studies

Studies consist of six modules. Each module shows the volume of contact learning and independent work in academic hours.

  1. 1. Claude Chat

    Contact learning 6 ac/h · Independent work 2 ac/h

    How large language models work and where their limits lie. Writing and refining prompts. Analysing long documents and PDFs. Creating a role-based Project. Using Artifacts to produce documents, analyses and prototypes.

  2. 2. Claude Cowork

    Contact learning 6 ac/h · Independent work 3 ac/h

    Working with files, folders and connected services. Configuring access rights and confirmation points. Building a Skill to automate a recurring work task. Documenting the workflow and a checklist for using it safely.

  3. 3. Claude and Microsoft 365, the EU AI Act

    Contact learning 6 ac/h · Independent work 2 ac/h

    Using Claude with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Producing an analysis and a presentation from the participant's own work data. Comparing Claude and Microsoft Copilot. Data classification, data security and the requirements of the EU AI Act.

  4. 4. Claude Design

    Contact learning 6 ac/h · Independent work 3 ac/h

    Mapping a business problem and analysing the process. Establishing users' actual needs. Designing the solution and creating a visual prototype. Assessing the solution for clarity and sustainability.

  5. 5. Claude Code

    Contact learning 6 ac/h · Independent work 3 ac/h

    Developing the prototype into a solution working with real data, using natural language. Configuring access rights. Producing documentation for developing the solution further or handing it over.

  6. 6. Claude hackathon

    Contact learning 7 ac/h · Independent work 0 ac/h

    Refining and testing the solution. Presenting the solution. Drawing up a deployment plan and metrics for assessing results.

Teaching methods

Studies are practical and task-based. Methods include guided practical work, analysis of worked examples, individual feedback, and the presentation and discussion of participants' solutions. Throughout the programme each participant works on a real task or process from their own job.

Learning environment

Studies take place in a classroom in Ülemiste City, Tallinn. The room is equipped with presentation technology and an internet connection, and meets the conditions for delivering adult education. Group size is up to 20 participants. Participants use their own laptops. Study materials and materials produced during the training are made available to participants digitally.

Assessment of learning outcomes

Learning outcomes are assessed on the basis of the participant's practical work. The participant presents their solution on the final day of training. Assessment is non-differentiated (pass / fail). Learning outcomes are deemed achieved if:

  • the participant has presented the completed solution and it works as presented;
  • the participant has drawn up a deployment plan for the solution together with metrics for assessing results;
  • the participant has attended at least 80% of the contact learning.

Conditions for issuing the completion document

A participant who has achieved all the learning outcomes described in the curriculum and has completed the assessment is issued a tunnistus (certificate).

A participant who attended the training but whose learning outcomes were not assessed, or who did not achieve all the learning outcomes, is issued a tõend (attestation of attendance).

The completion document states the participant's name and personal identification code, the training provider's name and registry code, the registration number of the economic activity notice in the Estonian Education Information System (261888), the curriculum name, the dates and volume of the training in academic hours, the place and date of issue, the document number, and the names of the trainers.
